A Tuscan farmhouse, with a rich thousand-year history, is the protagonist of the wonderful hills of Chianti Classico

The Origins: A Tower to Look Far Away

In the heart of Chianti Classico, where vineyards intertwine with the rolling hills, Podere Ferrale has its roots in the 11th century.

Built as a watchtower, strategically positioned to monitor the surrounding valleys, the estate was initially a protective garrison, a place to observe, defend, and guard.

Over the centuries, that tower transformed into a small fort, then into a farm dedicated to cultivation and rural life. Time has etched its history into the stones, beams, and furrows of the land.

The 20th Century and Family Rebirth

In 1900, the estate became part of the Soderi family's history: it was purchased by Antonio Soderi, great-grandfather of the current owner, Franco.

Here, among vineyards and olive groves, wine and oil were produced, including for the royal court of Savoy, a testament to the quality and prestige of the production.

That dedication, passed down from generation to generation, is now the foundation of Podere Ferrale's rebirth: a project that enhances the legacy of the past with a keen eye for sustainability and hospitality.

    Story-telling architecture

Today, Podere Ferrale is a charming farmhouse, respectfully renovated, preserving the authenticity of its origins. The structure unfolds in a horseshoe shape, embracing a large stone courtyard that represents the convivial heart of the villa.

    The estate features:

East Wing – The Guest Villa: five double bedrooms with private bathrooms, spread over two floors, with independent access and private gardens.

West Wing – The Manor House: an intimate and authentic area, preserving the character of a family home.

La Parata: a communal space with arches and high ceilings, ideal for shared moments, activities, or small events.

La Cantina Storica: with original press, concrete vats, pietra serena floors, and trussed roofs. A precious corner that tells the story of the land and the passing of time.

The Barns: currently used for agricultural purposes, they represent a potential restoration project to further expand the estate's spirit.

A Tuscan farmhouse between tradition and hospitality

Podere Ferrale is now a villa in the Chianti Classico area, accommodating up to 10 guests with exclusive, elegant, and comfortable spaces. A perfect retreat for family vacations, wellness retreats, private events, or simply to find time to listen to nature.
