We don’t seek perfection — we want wines that tell our story.
Every harvest is a step forward, shaped by choices, details, and time. In our wines, you can taste the voice of these hills, of Radda — and also a little of ours.
At Podere Ferrale, wine is born long before the harvest. It begins in 2.8 hectares of organic vineyards planted with Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Malvasia Toscana between 520 and 570 metres above sea level - a landscape sheltered by woods and nourished by rocky, mineral-rich soils. Here, the microclimate is a precious ally: sunny days, cool nights, and constant breezes keep the vines balanced and healthy.
We believe that making a great wine is the sum of hundreds of small decisions, taken at the right moment, season after season. It’s a patient, mindful job that allows us to bring to the cellar healthy, ripe grapes - ready to become wines of character, yet capable of expressing softness and elegance.
We personally follow every stage - from pruning to harvest, vinification, and bottling.
Our three vineyards reveal three distinct souls of the same land.
DOCG Chianti Classico Podere Ferrale
DENOMINAZIONE DI ORIGINE CONTROLLATA E GARANTITA
Our Chianti Classico reflects its place of origins and everything our vineyards express about each vintage lived on these hills.
Here Sangiovese grapes find the ideal conditions to express their character; warm summer days, cool nights, altitude, and generous sun exposure- These elements enhance the quality of the fruit and the natural longevity of our wines.
Fermentation takes place mainly in cement tanks, followed by ageing in handcrafted 10-hl Slavonian oak casks.
Bottling occurs almost two years after harvest. We insist on at least six months of months of bottle ageing before commercial release.
We use a light Bordeaux bottle and a premium natural cork, carefully selected to allow gentle micro-oxygenation during ageing. Every element — from the cork to the glass — reflects our respect for quality and nature.
Annual production: approximately 3,200 bottles (0.75 L).
DOCG Chianti Classico Riserva Podere Ferrale
DENOMINAZIONE DI ORIGINE CONTROLLATA E GARANTITA
Our Chianti Classico Riserva is made from a selection of our Sangiovese grapes and represents the natural continuation of the work we carry out each year in the vineyard and in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks, followed by two years of ageing in second-use French oak barriques, where the wine develops depth and balance while preserving the elegance of the fruit.
The wine undergoes an additional refinement of at least six months in the bottle, completing its harmony and revealing the complexity that only time can bring.
Production is extremely limited, an expression of patience, place, and respect for the natural longevity of our wines.

IGT Toscana Rosso Ritorno
INDICAZIONE GEOGRAFICA TIPICA
We wanted to make a red wine that was fresh and straightforward, a wine that would reflect both who we are and the land from which it is made.
Our Sangiovese grapes are vinified and aged exclusively in cement tanks to preserve the fragrance and natural expression of the fruit.
The profile is fragrant and linear, with notes of cherry, small red fruits, and a delicate mineral freshness.
This sincere, contemporary wine tells the story of our daily work. It is versatile, honest, and easy to drink, combining simplicity with authenticity.
We use a dark Burgundy bottle and a fully recyclable closure — a plant-based, high-performance synthetic cork that preserves freshness and balance while reducing environmental impact.
Our production is approximately 1,300 bottles per year (0.75 L).
IGT Toscana Rosato Vittoria
INDICAZIONE GEOGRAFICA TIPICA
This was our first wine, created as a tribute to Aunt Vittoria, a historic figure in our family and the last of the Soderi lineage to personally oversee the estate.
Fragrant, fresh, and elegant, it expresses the most vibrant and convivial side of our work. We made this wine because we love to drink it — spontaneous and genuine — produced from Sangiovese grapes harvested slightly earlier to preserve freshness and acidity.
Vinified as a white wine and aged in cement and stainless steel, it is a dry rosé with notes of red fruits and citrus, balanced and versatile. A simple expression of the joy found in honest, authentic things.
We use a light Burgundy bottle and a fully recyclable closure — a plant-based, high-performance synthetic cork that preserves freshness and balance while reducing environmental impact.
We make just 600 bottles per year of this wine (0.75L)
Vigna di Casa
The historic heart of the estate - right in front of the cellar and behind our home.
Here, one hectare of Sangiovese and half a hectare of Canaiolo yield grapes that are fresh, elegant, and perfectly balanced.
The soil — rich in galestro, clay, and alberese — together with a north-west exposure and 550 metres of altitude, gives wines of structure and harmony.

Vigna di Sopra
Reclaimed in 2018 after more than forty years of rest, this vineyard grows on soils rich in Galestro Rosso, alberese, and stony layers.
The main variety is Sangiovese, with a small parcel planted with Malvasia Toscana from massal selection.
Thanks to its south-west exposure and 555 metres of altitude, this vineyard produces grapes of remarkable depth and concentration.

Cultivation & Harvesting
Our vineyards are organically farmed and trained to Guyot, a system that respects the vine’s natural balance.
The rocky, skeletal soils ensure excellent drainage and are maintained with permanent grass cover to protect fertility and biodiversity.
We avoid deep soil tilling to preserve the soil’s structure and its living microorganisms.
To maintain vitality, we apply only two organic fertilisations per year - one after harvest and one at the start of spring, when the vines awaken from dormancy.
We use no pesticides or herbicides: weeds are removed mechanically.
Harvest is always by hand, using small crates to preserve the integrity of each bunch. We harvest each variety and parcel at the right moment of ripeness. Sometimes this means picking in the same vineyard multiple times.
The grapes are brought immediately to the cellar, ensuring the shortest possible time between vineyard and fermentation.
The Cellar
At the heart of property, the historic cellar has been restored and renewed to continue making wine at our pace, following our philosophy.
The proximity to the vineyards allows us to bring grapes to the press within minutes, preserving freshness and integrity.
This closeness gives us the freedom to vinify each parcel separately, exploring the personality of every variety and following each wine’s evolution closely — all the way to the bottle.
Fermentation occurs spontaneously in concrete tanks or stainless-steel vats, depending on the wine and quantity.
Ageing takes place in a dedicated room, where large barrels and barriques accompany the wine through a slow, natural evolution, enhancing complexity and harmony.
Each label is born from respect for the vineyard’s identity and a simple idea that remains our guiding thread:
To produce wines we love to drink and share.
